Marbella Beaches

Stretching from Guadalmina in the east to Las Chapas in the west, the Marbella region is blessed with more than 30km of glorious golden coast line, offering visitors to the area a variety of beaches to enjoy.

Around Marbella town is the area known as the Golden Mile. Long beaches of soft, golden sand blend into each other, stretching down the coast to Puerto Banus. An idyllic spot for early morning joggers or those who prefer more sedate strolls at sunset to the soundtrack of a gentle, shallow tide lapping at the shore and the vibrant bustle of life from the plentiful cafes, bars and restaurants that line the Sea Front. A walk along the sands of the Golden Mile also allows you the opportunity to look in on some of the most impressive and exclusive real estate in the Costa Del Sol.

Of the beaches themselves, Nagueles, El Faro and la Venus Beaches are popular among the sun-worshippers and family holiday-makers. Long expanses of soft sand and shallow tides make for an ideal place to while away a hot summer’s day. Easily accessible from Marbella town the beaches are a hive of sun-frolicked fun, be it a jet-ski or pedalo ride or simply sitting under an umbrella immersed in the latest bestseller. With life-guards operating on duty through the crowded summer months safety is a consideration and the beaches are generally a family friendly environment with the addition of showers, kid’s club activities and beachside cafes lending to the holiday vibe.

Venturing further afield from central Marbella you have the beach clubs around Puerto Banus with the long golden stretch of Guadalmina beach minutes away; a resort that itself grows in popularity with each year, offering a delightful but equally vibrant alternative to the attractions of Marbella town.
